From Weekend Hero to PGA Pro
At 51, I made the biggest decision of my life: trading a long career in professional education and quality management to pursue a dream which enables me to come to life - golf. Now I am working in a local pro shop, rebuilding my game from the ground up and documenting the full 365-day journey to reach four handicap and take the next step towards the PGA pathway.
This site will provide you with an honest, unfiltered look into the world of late-in-life golfing ambition: swing rebuilds, range sessions, on-course diaries, club testing, short game deep dives and the battle to break 35 years of old habits (yes, including the dreaded out-to-in Path)! I am also developing the skills and knowledge needed for a future as a short game coach.
